Spit Erosion Works

Delivered for Mosman Council, the Spit Erosion Works involved a coordinated program of marine, civil and landscape construction to stabilise and renew the waterfront edge. The project was completed within a four-month construction period.

The structural works included detailed hydraulic infrastructure, new concrete piers, precast concrete strip-footing beams, precast stairs and retaining walls. A stepped sandstone retaining wall was also constructed, combining erosion protection with a material response suited to the surrounding foreshore.
