Stabilising Eastern Reserve through integrated landscape construction.
The Eastern Reserve project involved stabilising an existing slope and improving access to the public reserve in Dover Heights. EBG demolished the existing driveway, fencing and turf before carefully excavating the affected area. New sandstone logs were then supplied and installed to retain and stabilise the slope, creating a robust solution suited to the reserve’s natural setting.
Associated drainage works were delivered to manage surface water and help protect the reconstructed slope from future erosion.
Jute matting, new planting and turfing were incorporated to support revegetation and integrate the structural works into the surrounding landscape.
A new concrete driveway was also constructed to provide safer, more reliable access to the reserve. The completed project combines durable slope stabilisation, improved drainage and soft landscaping to create a more accessible and resilient public environment.
